FOUNDED IN 1946

BELDON® has been a trusted name in roofing and home improvement since 1946, when Morry and Ann Beldon founded Beldon Roofing and Supply in San Antonio, Texas. What began as a small, family-run operation has grown into a nationally recognized company known for exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.

Our dedication to quality, integrity, and innovation has earned us numerous accolades from industry organizations and community leaders, including recognition from the Institute Building and Office Managers Association.

While BELDON has grown into a larger, professionally managed company, we still hold true to the values that built our reputation—delivering top-tier service and building trust that lasts for generations.

OUR STORY

At BELDON Roofing Company, we take pride in our history in San Antonio.

1945

After retiring from the military, Morry Beldon and his wife Ann chose to make San Antonio their home and began looking for new opportunities.

1946

Morry and Ann Beldon founded AAA Roofing in San Antonio

1955

The Beldon's expanded their business by launching BELDON® Roofing & Supply

1960

Mike Beldon joined the family business after graduating from Rice University, marking the start of the second generation at BELDON®.

1962

Mike Beldon married Louise, beginning a lifelong partnership that would support the continued growth of the family business.

1963

A devastating fire destroyed the BELDON® Roofing & Supply location on West Olmos Drive. Demonstrating resilience, the company relocated and reopened just weeks later on February 18 at its new home on West Martin Street.

1968

BELDON® Roofing Company relocated its operations to a new, larger facility on West Avenue to accommodate continued growth.

1970

BELDON® introduced its iconic “B” logo—cleverly designed using the shape of rooftops—which quickly became a recognizable symbol of the brand.

1973 - 1975

Steve Sherman, husband of Mike’s sister Nancy, joined BELDON® Roofing Company and took leadership of the Remodeling Division, expanding the company’s service offerings.

1980

Louise Beldon took charge of the Repair Department, playing a key role in daily operations and remaining an active part of the business for many years.

1984

A memorable photo captured Mike Beldon standing proudly outside the BELDON® Roofing Company corporate office, symbolizing decades of family leadership and dedication.

1988

Brad Beldon joined the family business, beginning the third generation of leadership, and married his wife Susan in April, marking a new chapter both personally and professionally.

1988-1989

BELDON® Roofing Company completed its first out-of-state project in South Carolina, expanding its reach beyond Texas. That same year, Mike Beldon served as Chairman of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), highlighting his leadership in the industry.

1991-1996

BELDON® Roofing Company completed numerous military projects across the United States, strengthening its reputation for quality and reliability in government contracting.

1993 - 1994

Danny Mendez, Sandra Medina, and Tina Badders joined BELDON® Roofing Company.

Danny started as a mechanic, quickly rose to Superintendent, and by 1995 was promoted to General Superintendent.
Sandra Medina started as Executive Assistant to Mike Beldon.
Tina Badders worked and trained alongside Louise Beldon in Procurement and has since led BELDON’s procurement efforts nationwide.

1994

BELDON® Roofing Company updated its logo for the first time in nearly 25 years, refreshing the brand while honoring its heritage.

1995

Pat Franks joined the Remodeling Department, while Steve Sherman transitioned to lead the Accounting division, strengthening BELDON® Roofing Company’s operations.

2001

BELDON® Roofing Company was honored as Contractor of the Year, recognizing excellence in service and quality within the industry.

2004

Brad Beldon was named CEO of BELDON® Roofing Company, while Mike Beldon continued to serve as Chairman, ensuring strong leadership across generations.

2010

Jonathan Beldon joined the family-owned company after retiring from the military.

2017

BELDON® Roofing Company unified all its products under one umbrella and unveiled a modern new logo, reflecting the company’s evolution and forward momentum.

2018

Brad Beldon celebrated 30 years with BELDON® Roofing Company. That same year, the company won the Carlisle Perfection Award and was honored by being selected for the Carlisle Perfection Council.

2019 - 2022

Mackenzie and Marshall Beldon joined the family company, becoming the fourth generation of the Beldon family to join the team, both contributing to the Commercial Roofing Division.

2023 - 2024

Danny Mendez, Sandra Medina, James Goodwin, and Tina Badders each celebrated 30 years of dedicated service at BELDON®, marking three decades of commitment and leadership within the company.

2025

BELDON Roofing Company joins forces with Progressive Roofing - Two Legacies Under One Roof.
